Well after months (seems like years) finally have the old girl back in one piece and have done an engine run.. Engine had to be pulled down and rebuilt as it was pretty much frozen solid....

The gods of Android see fit to let me post today.
Left Sydney early Sunday for Broken Hill. An uneventful day except for the strong gusty winds in the morning. Otherwise just a long ride.
Mondays ride to Ceduna was mostly marvelous. The bad parts were hitting a kangaroo in the dark of the morning.
Also later I almost droped the bike on my own head - no pics of this but I'll do a show and...
just home from an 1,100 km 3 day spin with my son as pillion with a mate on his VFR800, taking in some beautiful scenery and enjoying some amazing roads over the last three days. We did:
Day 1 (Fri arvo): Sydney - Wollombi - Singleton - Gresford - Dungog - Gloucester (300 km)
Day 2 (Sat): Left Gloucester at 7am, Thunderbolts to Walcha for b'fast (wet/rain), then the mighty Oxley...
Had the pleasure of meeting Sibi 2.5 months ago. Many thanks for the chat and giving us a very enjoyable story.
Q. Where does that name come from?
My friend’s daughter could never pronounce my name correctly, she would always say Sibi instead of Sabel (sounds like Sa-bell). Sibi just stuck with everyone around me, friends and family.
Q. What are some of the nicknames you have for customers or...
Quick notes before I start:
I did my course at HART in St Ives
This was completed on a scooter – sorry – no hints regarding clutch, etc.
What I’m about to write would have answered all my questions and calmed all (well, most) of my nerves – so hopefully this will help someone out there. First thing’s first, thanks to the authors of the below links, these helped me out immensely!

At times you have those days where everything just seems to go to plan, no one tries to cut you off, you get all the green lights etc..
Well this thread is for people to share experiences in their travels that made them smile or feel great in general.
I’ll start by saying that tonight whilst riding down Kings Way I was filtering between 2 Motorcycle Police. One in front , me in the middle...
Noticed these new guard rails on the way home today on the Old Pac heading north from Brooklyn. I’m taking an educated guess here but I reckon they’re to prevent us from sliding under the upper rail and into the posts. Good job gubment!
I have a work conference in Ballarat at the end of April. Work is nice enough to register me, but not enough to also include costs of travel…lol... so they left it up to me how I get there…. Hehehe
Guess what mode of travel I’ve chosen…? Eeeeeegggzactly! Lawnmower is coming with me He's economical travel.
Leaving the GC on the Saturday 21st and the first 2 days have already been...
Quick report on my trip I just completed last week.
Left Sydney on an experimental trip to camp out every night in preparation for a hopeful half trip of Australia later this year.
Left Sydney 5:30 am in the dark as I wanted to get through the city from north to south before the traffic build up.
First stop Albion Park for a coffee and toastie at McDonalds.
However the trip started...
I saw this special for front and rear combo fitted for Metzeller M5 $369 and Z6 front and rear combo fitted for $299 at MCA Auburn, link here;
Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket - Tyres
It's at the top of the page. Not all sizes are available, so take a look at the page but most common sizes are. Not sure how long the special is on, and I thought it was a metzeller special not an MCA...
As happens the day before easter, a call comes in from work saying I have to get to canberra the next wed as something has come up. No worries... flights are difficult and with the end of the warm weather let's do this the long way. Let's have some fun with the VFR again.
Time for the Snowy mountains. Someone suggested a half decent route, why not try that. Something like...
Ok, this section of road deserves it's own unedited video, it's a bloody marvelous set of curves coming down the mountain from Black Perry Lookout.
It's 6:08 of unedited goodness with one of my all time favourite tracks ... that happened to be just the right length, if a little geeky.
